The gracilis is one of the muscles located on the inside of your thigh, in fact it is the most superficial muscle on the inside of the thigh. This means that if you stretch your leg and feel those tight muscles in your thigh, you’ve found it!
The gracilis muscle helps with adduction, rotating medially and laterally, and is also involved in the flexion of the hip.
When It’s Tight:
- Possible pain in hip
- Possible pain or tightness in knee
- Burning sensation on inside of thigh

- Seated Split Stretch
- Side Lunge and Stretch
- Supine Single Leg Abduction Stretch
